Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death in Spain among children aged 2-16 years, and yet it is considered a rare disease for which hardly any public funds are allocated for its financing.

Raquel Oliva has been personally involved in giving visibility and financial support to the fight against childhood cancer through the design of the “Vicky’s Star” nightlight. With the purchase of this children’s night lamp you will be doing your bit for children’s cancer research, as the proceeds will go to the “Vicky’s Dream” Foundation.

Vicky’s Dream is a foundation that aims to raise funds to finance research projects for childhood cancer, since there are no specific treatments for children. These funds are destined to the Pediatric Tumor Unit of the Hospital Niño Jesús.

Children, because their organs are still developing, cannot be treated in the same way as adults, and research is crucial to develop appropriate treatments for them, which will allow them not only to overcome the disease, but also to continue their development without sequelae.
