In its refined simplicity, the 537 model stands out for its combination of rich materials and an ingenious and fun design. The large aluminum reflector in black or white is asymmetrically mounted on a lacquered or brushed brass stem, which is carefully twisted in a beautiful balancing act, and rests on an elegant marble base. As a vital part of the design, the stem extends through the reflector and beyond in a backward motion, giving the top of the stem a dual function as a playful feature and practical handle.
